But after 74 days as the top-grossing app in the App Store, it was unseated by strategy game Clash Royale. The same data shows that Pokemon Go’s reign was a short one, compared to the long lasting dominance of Clash of Clans, which held the number one spot for 347 consecutive days. The game is still sitting at the number one position in countries such as Denmark, Luxemburg, Poland, Portugal, Great Britain, Thailand, Belgium, and Australia.

A recent update by developer Supercell has done the trick, rekindling the interest of its user base and spurring many of its players into a spending frenzy.
Supercell’s newest game Clash Royale took the top spot in the top grossing iPhone apps in the U.S. after this week’s patch that brought a slew of new features.
