One person is in custody following a stabbing inside the Eaton Centre in the city’s downtown core this afternoon.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital but the severity of his injuries was not immediately known.
Const. Victor Kwong says Shane Michael MacLean faces 10 charges, including two counts each of assault and assault with a weapon, and one each of attempted murder and possession of a weapon.
Police say the arrest happened quickly because members of the public informed them that the suspect ran north on Yonge after the stabbing.
