Evenflo recalls booster seats; children can loosen harness
Evenflo said in its release that no injuries have occurred in connection with this issue, but it identified a trend in complaints regarding use of the seat in harnessed mode through its regular review of consumer feedback. Government documents say that if the harness is loose, it could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Owners may contact Evenflo at www.evolve.evenflo.com or 1-800-233-5921.
Evenflo is recalling almost 30,000 combination booster seats because children can loosen the harness without an adult’s knowledge. Evenflo is providing owners with a new harness adjustment button which will effectively eliminate this possibility.
An image explaining this problem can be seen at the bottom of this article.
Please do not return your child’s Transitions seat to retailers, the company says.
If your child is not accessing and activating the harness adjustment button, then the Evolve may be used safely in harnessed mode until the remedy kit is installed.
CONSEQUENCE: Missing information, undersized text, lack of capitalization and warnings in an incorrect order may affect the consumer’s understanding on the proper use of the infant auto seat, increasing the risk of injury to the child in the event of a crash. The affected child seats have information on the labels, instruction manual and registration card that is either the wrong size, has an incorrect background color, or is in the incorrect order or is missing.
