Senator Leila De Lima has become an increasingly isolated voice since seeking to hold Duterte to account for unleashing a crackdown on narcotics in which 3,800 people have been killed since the president took office 11 weeks ago.

Jessen added, “I welcome that not only has President Duterte read the resolution in question, but his very public reaction has also sparked a lively reaction and discussion of it within the Philippines, making people better aware of the views of the European Parliament”. I will tell them f-ck you.

Earlier this month, Duterte also directed profanities at United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and US President Barack Obama, after they made similar comments about the mounting death toll in the Philippines.

A week after he called for the end of joint patrols with American troops in the South China Sea and the withdrawal of USA forces from Mindanao, Duterte on Tuesday said that he only wanted the soldiers out to ensure the success of peace talks with Muslim rebels.

Duterte, however, says he does not “care” about human rights, threatening to declare martial law and even drop United Nations membership if the world body interferes with the crackdown.

“Who were they? Criminals?”

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has remained defiant against critics in his bloody war on drugs and hurled expletives again – this time at the European Union.

Duterte said that European Union members have become strict about the behavior of other nations due to their “guilt feelings” about occupying other countries in the past.

The European Parliament said it was concerned about the “extraordinarily high numbers killed during police operations.in the context of an intensified anti-crime and anti-drug campaign”, and asked Mr Duterte to launch an “immediate” investigation. “We want to achieve a kind of economic growth that is not only robust and sustainable but one that actually lifts significantly more Filipinos out of poverty”, Dominguez said. 1,700 here? You call that genocide?

“They are strict now because there’s guilt”, Duterte said.

He said “hypocritical” former colonial powers like France and Britain were trying to atone for their own sins.
