Fabregas Confident Of Grabbing Key Role For Chelsea
Conte has favoured Oscar and Nemanja Matic alongside summer signing N’Golo Kante in a three-man midfield in the Premier League, and handed Fabregas only his second start of the campaign against Leicester City in the EFL Cup third round on Tuesday night.

Cesc Fabregas scored a brace in the extra-time helping Chelsea in their clash against Leicester last night.
“I want to have the whole squad, not only 11, 12, or 13 players, and create good competition”, the boss said as the Blues will continue their busy fixture list with a crucial trip to Arsenal on Saturday.
“Since I’ve been on the bench, I’ve had experiences elsewhere, I’ve been out on loan and come back and it was not the right time”, he told Chelsea TV.
Fabregas said: “I was a bit exhausted afterwards because I have not played a proper game for a long time now, but I am happy. It’s a very special place for me and that’s it”, he said according to the Evening Standard.
With some people, you squeeze them and then they crack.
Chelsea go to Fabregas’ former club Arsenal in the league on Saturday and the Spain World Cup victor wants to show Conte, who arrived in the summer, why he is wrong to leave him out. I am in a moment of my career where I feel very mature.
“I think the first key in the game was when we conceded the goal on the last corner (in the first half)”.
“Something from inside is coming out stronger than ever and I just feel like a little boy in training trying to win my spot back as I used to do at Arsenal when I was 16”. Chelsea winning, focusing on playing well and when I have the chance, show what I can do because I know what I can do and it’s a lot for this team’. “I want to show that I can do the job anytime I’m called on and that I can give what others don’t have”.
“You have to accept it, you have to be professional, you have to keep your attitude. He works every aspect for us”.
