Rahami is a US citizen born in Afghanistan. His last known address is listed in Elizabeth, N.J., and the poster warns that Rahami “should be considered armed and risky”.

Meanwhile, CNN has reported surveillance videos showed the same man close to the site of the first explosion and the location where the unexploded device was found.
“The City wanted a way to update New Yorkers quickly with official information after several incidents occurred in 2007, such as: tornadoes, a steam pipe explosion, and crane collapses”. “We need the facts to be able to piece all this together”.
The explosion happened in Chelsea, Manhattan, on Saturday. The device was placed in a trashcan on 23 Street, only a few blocks away from the Empire State Building.
A homemade bomb found in a backpack near an Elizabeth, N.J. train station early this morning was inadvertently set off by a police robot.
Elizabeth Mayor Christian Bollwage said that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was working to disarm one of five devices found in the same bag, which was discovered in a trash can by two men around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, near the Elizabeth train station on New Jersey Transit’s Northeast Corridor rail line.
Apparently the two men were so surprised they dropped the bag in the middle of the street. No injuries were reported.
It wasn’t immediately clear if there was a connection between the dwelling and the blast at the Elizabeth train station at around 12:30 a.m. Monday.
The men had reported seeing wires and a pipe coming out of the package, Bollwage said. “I don’t believe the City of Elizabeth at this stage – was a target”, he said, according to WUNF.
Bomb squad personnel stand around the scene of an explosion near the train station on Monday. Amtrak trains heading to NY were held in Trenton early Monday. The New York Times reports that more than 2,000 Amtrak and NJ Transit passengers were affected by the investigation. However passengers should expect delays.
Earlier on Saturday, there was an explosion at Seaside Park, New Jersey, which was timed to disrupt a Marine Corps charity run.
The official says two officers were shot in the encounter in Linden, New Jersey.
Three attacks carried out in the United States on a single day – a NY bombing, a Minnesota mass stabbing and a New Jersey pipe bomb blast – were under investigation Sunday for potential terror links.
Homemade pressure cooker bombs were used in the Boston Marathon attacks in 2013 that killed three people and injured more than 260.
“They’re not in any jeopardy of being arrested”, Jim Watters, chief of the New York Police Department’s counterterrorism unit, said on Wednesday.
The mayor said he learned about 3:30 p.m. Sunday that authorities investigating Saturday’s bombing in the Chelsea section of New York City had found a connection to Elizabeth.
