“The Voice”: A Former Grammy Nominee Strives for a Comeback
You may remember Grammy-nominated singer Billy Gilman for his hit song “One Voice” back in 2000.

It’s night two of The Voice’s 11th season, and coaches Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton face a new batch of contestants in the Blind Audition phase of the NBC show.
Shattering that child star perception can be tricky (as countless musicians have discovered over the years), especially after suffering the natural vocal changes that accompany puberty.
The Voice’s blind auditions are a nervewracking right of passage for contestants on the singing show.
“So rarely do I hear everything happen on this stage”. She said she is a die-hard Alicia Keys fan and she was obsessed. He has also since come out as gay.
Gilman would eventually join Adam Levine’s team, but not before being recognised by country vets Blake Shelton and Miley Cyrus.
Gilman introduced himself to the judges, but some of them already knew who he was. “I started as a young country artist and had great success”, he told the judges.
For the majority of the performance, only coach Adam Levine turned his chair, until, at the last second, Shelton turned as well in a move that nearly felt like country crooner was trying to spite his long-time frenemy. “That intangible quality that you possess is exactly what embodies the person that wins this show”, said the Maroon 5 singer.

When Tucker revealed that he was from Washington, Levine said that he was relieved that the singer lived nowhere near Shelton’s home state of Oklahoma. “I really am blown away”.
