Bill Clinton: ‘It’s Hard’ To Think About Leaving Foundation
Last week, Bill Clinton was doing a awful job correcting the media record on his wife’s bout with pneumonia, telling CBS News that Hillary Clinton fainted both frequently and rarely – a line so confusing CBS ended up editing it out.

Bill Clinton will deliver his final speech Wednesday to the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in which he’s expected to defend the Clinton Foundation’s philanthropic efforts overseas.
Some staff will remain to continue working with donors, but several CGI employees have already been informed that their jobs will be terminated, according to a report published Tuesday by Politico, citing two former Clinton Foundation officials with knowledge of the matter. The networks virtually ignored the conflict-of-interest aspect in 95 percent of their stories, according to Ms. Nelson, who analyzed 62 network news stories about the Clinton Foundation that appeared from August 9 to September 9.
Emails released from Clinton’s time as secretary of state in recent months have shown that a top foundation aide discussed employment for another foundation aide with the State Department.
The Clinton Foundation will lay off dozens of employees as the under-fire charity prepares for a massive scale-back in anticipation of Hillary Clinton winning the White House. It also said Chelsea Clinton should end her involvement if her mother wins in November. He said the initiative had marked a “profound advance” in global philanthropic efforts and had helped 435 million people in 180 countries. “You are living proof that good people committed to creative cooperation have nearly unlimited positive impact to help people today and give our kids better tomorrows”.
“Since Hillary began her presidential campaign in 2015, Chelsea and I have made it clear that the work the Clinton Foundation started should continue if Hillary is elected, but that changes would be necessary”.
“I’ve had this job longer than I ever had any job, and I’ve loved it”, Clinton said.
Despite serving as president for eight years, Bill Clinton has said his work with the foundation has been the work of his life.
“You’re stepping down from the [board of] the Foundation though”, CNBC said.
The CGI Annual Meeting runs at the same time at the United Nations General Assembly, hoping to attract world leaders who can only attend if they pledge to commit to a cause.

Nixon resigned over much less than these things, but Republicans have always had the decency to speak out against members of our party, which Mr. Sheinberg even illustrates in his letter. Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama have both declined to attend, something they both did in past meetings.
