India insists on unacceptable conditions for talks: Pak PM
The one battalion each of 4 Para and 9 Para Special Forces trained for anti-terrorist operations have been asked to stand in operational readiness till further orders, sources said, pointing out that the Centre has not ruled out retaliatory action for the Pakistan-sponsored attack.

We have not yet seen the first mile (being made by Pakistan), where is the question of the extra mile. The Pakistani diplomat again brought up Burhan Wani calling his killing the spark for the recent wave of protests in Kashmir.
Burhan Wani is a self-declared commander of Hizbul. “This is self incrimination by the Pakistan Prime Minister”, Akbar said.
He said a “new generation” of Kashmiris has risen spontaneously against India’s “illegal occupation – demanding freedom from occupation”.
Indira Gandhi dealt with it in 1971 by helping the former East Pakistan rebel army, the Mukti Bahini, break up Pakistan and create a brand new state of Bangladesh.
“Not only is Pakistan an untrustworthy ally, Islamabad has also aided and abetted enemies of the USA for years”, Poe said.
Akbar emphasised that Islamabad’s consistent use of war and terrorism has been at the cost of development of the people of Pakistan, adding that the people there are paying the price of a malevolent policy. This seemed like a direct reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking up on the Balochistan issue.
They said any confirmation about the number of terrorists can be made after it retrieves the bodies which is a “remote” possibility now considering the area in which they might be lying.
Ms. Gambhir reminded the United Nations that the trail of the most “horrifying” and “dastardly terror attack” of 9/11 led all the way to Abbottabad in Pakistan, where al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden had been hiding for years and was killed by USA forces. Pakistan wants dialogue while holding a terrorist gun in its hand.
Reacting to reports that Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Pakistan’s Army Chief General Raheel Sharif ahead of his speech at the United Nations, Nabi said, “It was like General Raheel was telling Sharif that listen you have to read this paper there”.
He also said that Pakistan was “open to discussing all measures of restraint and responsibility with India, in any forum or format and without any conditions”. Talks are no favour to Pakistan.
Meanwhile, some residents of border villages in the Pakistan-controlled portion of Kashmir said they were frightened after the Indian army hoisted red flags along the Line of Control, a sign of danger and increased tension.
“But India has posed unacceptable preconditions to engage in a dialogue”, he said.
“Even today we have heard support by the Prime Minister of Pakistan for a self-acknowledged commander of a known terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen”, she said, attacking Sharif’s mention of terrorist Burhan Wani+ in his speech earlier.
Sharif said the “Indian brutalities are well-documented” and that “Pakistan will share with the secretary general a dossier containing detailed information and evidence of the gross and systematic violations of human rights committed” in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sharif, while on the topic of terrorism, said: “My country has been the principal victim of terrorism, including that supported, sponsored and financed from overseas. The Security Council must honour its commitments by implementing its own decisions”, he said.

The prime minister also called for an independent inquiry into the extra-judicial killings in occupied Kashmir, and a United Nations fact-finding mission to investigate brutalities perpetrated by the Indian occupying forces.
