Election: Good riddance to Trump birther mania

It is possible that Obama could swing North Carolina into Hillary Clinton’s column because voters in the state are expressing a preference for four more years of Obama over Trump.

As Trump and Clinton prepare for Monday’s debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York the key battleground states of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida have emerged as key states for each candidate. Through August, she blanketed 11 states with 35,714 broadcast television commercials to Trump’s 7,457 in five states, according to Kantar Media’s political ad data.

“He only gave his 36-second press statement last week to try to change the subject – and it didn’t work”, said Clinton campaign spokesman Jesse Ferguson. Clinton has also employed 800 people for her campaign which cost her about $5 million last month. Like Trump, the Texas firm is new to politics.

The presidential spending is even more lopsided after factoring in the main super PACs backing each candidate.

The 2016 election has provided the American people with a race that is unlike any others before it. There was little more enthusiasm among Trump supporters; just 28% would be excited if the GOP nominee triumphs in November. The billionaire comes out ahead of Clinton in terms of who they think would be best for their own investments-45 percent to 36 percent.

Clinton’s aides insist their investments will pay off on Election Day.

This talent for eye-catching and clear messages seems to run in the Trump family, with Donald Jr using a bowl of Skittles to claim that admitting Syrian refugees poses a threat to the United States. Two weeks ago, half of registered voters thought she was physically strong enough and just over a third thought she was not. Quinnipiac’s July New York poll showed a closer race than Siena shows, though Clinton led in the head-to-head matchup in that poll, too (47-35 percent statewide).
