Obama, keen to revive Israeli-Palestinian talks, will meet with Netanyahu
“But instead of holding a candid dialogue behind closed doors with President Obama, Netanyahu went behind his back”.

Senators Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Kelly Ayotte and Ted Cruz said they were objected to a provision in the agreement preventing Israel from approaching Congress for additional funds, and Israel volunteering to give back any money Congress gives above the MOU’s limits.
“I hear all kinds of background noise and disinformation about the agreement”.
“We urge you to continue longstanding U.S. policy and make it clear that you will veto any one-sided UNSC resolution that may be offered in the coming months”. “We weren’t offered more money, not even one dollar more, and we weren’t offered special technologies”. This is the largest single pledge of military assistance ever given to any country by the US. Should the United States continue to aid Israel? The memorandum increased assistance for Israel over the deal signed in 2007 under the George W. Bush administration, which guaranteed Israel $31 billion by 2017.
The new memorandum, moreover, comes amid rising dangers for Israel that extend far beyond the controversial nuclear deal, mocking both US claims about the historic nature of this package and Obama’s insistence that Israel’s true security lies in a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
It’s the largest such agreement the USA has ever had with any country.
Labour opposition lawmaker Shelly Yachimovich said that “Netanyahu himself told heads of the security establishment to count on $5-6 billion a year, of which $3.8 (billion) are left”. I don’t know that alternate future.
Frosty relations between the two leaders went into a deep chill a year ago, after Netanyahu appeared before the US Congress to lobby against the Iran deal.
USA and Israeli officials signed the agreement on Wednesday.
Graham said he would introduce legislation to overturn another provision that phased out a special arrangement that has allowed Israel for decades to use 26.3 percent of the US aid on its own defense industry instead of on USA weapons, according to Reuters. “These are distortions and fabrications by people who have interest (in providing disinformation)”.

The Israeli Prime Minister commented on the amount of money that will be granted by the United States to Israel over the period of a decade and attacked those criticizing the agreement.
