Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler has sprained right thumb

Plenty of pride from North Dakota as they continue to support Carson Wentz making his debut in the National Football League starting 2-0 and impressing the masses it was an exciting day in Chicago as Carson Wentz improves to 2-0 with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Wentz has certainly exceeded expectations.

The pre-match national anthem ritual meanwhile saw three Eagles players – Brooks, Malcolm Jenkins and Steven Means – raise clenched fists in solidarity with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has attracted criticism for his protest this season during “The Star-Spangled Banner”. It’s a unit that has produced only 21 points in two weeks. I’m excited. The sky is the limit with this defense. While Bradford was never the long term solution, it appeared, on paper anyway, that he would have given the Philadelphia Eagles the best chance to win this season.

“They’re playing well together as a team”, coach Doug Pederson said. He brought an aggressive, 4-3 scheme and is maximizing the talent he has. Linebackers Hicks and Nigel Bradham have made big plays.

Jay Cutler started 15 games last season, missing only a Week 3 contest against the Seahawks.

The approach always must be the same, he said. He has a 94.1 rating, three TDs and a completion rate of 60.6 percent. He’s the first rookie quarterback to start and win the first two games of the season without making a turnover.

“I think we have to be ready for their roster, ” OBrien said.

But the Eagles beat the hapless Browns (0-2) and the Bears (0-2).

Same approach: Even with Cutler unable to practice Wednesday and his status uncertain for Sunday night’s game in Dallas, backup Brian Hoyer isn’t changing his approach.

Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and several teammates raised their right fists during the national anthem in a protest prior to their game. The first drop, as you can see below, was a great pass by Wentz that wide receiver Jordan Matthews should have caught for a touchdown.

He also has memories of Edelman, a former college quarterback, showing off his skills during Patriots practices.

“For me, as a playcaller and being in that position as a quarterback, I actually want to call plays to go right back to those guys and get them right back catching the football and focused in and letting those guys work”, Pederson said.

“So, yeah, there are a lot of similarities there. And the fact that they’re both very good throwers outside the pocket is a tribute to both of them”.

Cutler said the interception made him aware that he was not physically able to finish the game. LB Mychal Kendricks broke his nose and has a quadriceps contusion, but is expected to play vs. Pittsburgh.
