Palestinian stabs Israeli police in east Jerusalem; gets shot

Israeli forces shot dead three Arab assailants in separate incidents in East Jerusalem and the West Bank on Friday, police and the military said, in a flare-up of a almost year-old wave of Palestinian street attacks. Since October, 229 Palestinians, 34 Israelis, two Americans, one Jordanian, an Eritrean and a Sudanese have been killed in ongoing violence, according to an AFP count.
