The Indian Navy, Air Force, Mumbai Crime Branch, Anti Terrorism Squad, Mumbai Police on highest alert in Mumbai after the alleged terror suspects were spotted in Uran this morning.

The men were spotted by children on their way to school who then informed their teacher, who informed the principal.
“Children of Uran education society spotted the suspicious men, after which the police were informed”, said an official of the Navi Mumbai police.
“Students said they saw 4 men at around 11 am, dressed in military uniform, talking amongst themselves in a foreign language”, said Navy sources.
The authorities are also trying to get information from the local residents of Uran to find and nab the armed men.
“ONGC” and “school” were two words that the children overheard the men saying, sources say. Search operations are being carried out by the police and combing of the Uran area of Navi Mumbai is being carried out, with special care on possible hideaways like under construction and abandoned buildings. The DGP office immediately issued alerts to all police stations along the coast.
Uran is about 50 km from Mumbai and close to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
State 1 alert was ordered primarily for two reasons; first, there is an ammunition depot near the spot where the children sighted the suspicious looking men, second, INS Abhimanyu too is close to the spot.

This comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri on Sunday in which 18 soldiers were killed.
