The Telegraph reports that former Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs is chairman Huw Jenkins’ preferred choice to replace Guidolin and change could happen as soon as October before the worldwide break.

In this regard, chairman Huw Jenkins has identified Giggs as a potential candidate.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Swansea City are lining-up the Welshman to replace the under-pressure Francesco Guidolin.
Swansea have won only one of their first five Premier League games but it is the off-the-field atmosphere which has Jenkins concerned.
Sources claim that Guidolin is a “a dead man walking” in the current post, and is likely to be sacked before the next global break in October.
It is not yet clear whether Giggs would be interested in the job and it could prove a controversial decision with the fans given that the former Manchester United winger is from Cardiff. Swansea’s current manager Francesco Guidolin is now under pressure at the Liberty Stadium, with his side sitting in 15th place having picked up four points from their opening five games.
The United and Welsh legend has been specifically targeted with alarm bells ringing over a poor start to the season by Swans that has left 60-year-old Italian boss Francesco Guidolin fighting to save his job after just nine months in the post.
However, it wasn’t to be as both bosses were booted out of the competition, with Swansea becoming the latest team to suffer at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s Man City juggernaut, while Stoke suffered a woeful defeat at home to Hull, despite taking the lead.

It has also emerged, allegedly, that during Swansea’s pre-season tour of the United States this summer, Guidolin missed morning training sessions to watch the Tour de France on television, raising the concerns of the players and higher authorities at the club.
