A spider dropped from a mirror in the auto and surprised the driver, causing the vehicle to leave the road and overturn, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver lost control after a spider fell from the rearview mirror, causing her to panic and swerve off the road into a ditch, reported news station WSBT.

“Spider season is in full swing”, the sheriff’s office tweeted.

A spider picked the wrong time and place to suddenly appear early Wednesday morning.

The driver wasn’t seriously injured, just a minor scratch on her hand, but she’ll have a heck of a story to tell her friends.

Yes, but this distraction was a totally unexpected, out-of-nowhere spider.
