Bloomberg Politics reporter Jennifer Epstein asked Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during a press conference Monday whether she believed the previous weekend’s terrorist attacks in NY and Jersey were a plot- possibly carried out by the Russians- to get her Republican opponent Donald Trump more votes.

Clinton has opened a sizable 9-point lead in New Hampshire – where Trump campaigned just a week ago – in a Monmouth University poll.

Clinton also has lost some support among female voters, though she’s still ahead with women by 22 points.

The Monmouth University poll was conducted via telephone September 16-19 of 400 likely Florida voters.

Donald Trump says he finally admitted President Barack Obama was born in the United States because he wanted to “get on with the campaign”.

After the Democratic National Convention in July, polls showed Clinton’s lead over Trump ballooning to upward of 10 points in early August before returning to tighter margins in recent weeks. Clinton had been leading in the Tar Heel State by less than one percentage point.

Republicans say learning about the emails is a matter of national security, but Democrats contend the email inquiries are just an effort to damage Clinton’s presidential bid.

The race across the battleground states has tightened considerably, according to Fox News projections released Tuesday. Both candidates have had leads in Florida.

“Meanwhile, Trump raised some eyebrows by refusing to meet with the Ukrainian president in NY”.

Trump also questioned the effectiveness of marijuana legalization in Colorado.

“After spending 5 years championing a conspiracy theory to undermine our first African American President, Donald Trump hasn’t actually changed his mind”, spokesman Jesse Ferguson said in a statement. He expressed great respect for Egypt’s history and the important leadership role it has played in the Middle East.
