Joseph Zawada, 19, built the castle and showed it off to fellow Lego enthusiasts at the recent BrickFair Virginia, a convention for all things Lego.

In the following video, Zawada talks about the scale of the castle, which is large, and how the towers’ size dictated the size of the rest of the castle.
In fact, 19-year-old Joseph Zawada spent two and a half years building his replica of Hyrule Castle, which he said was inspired by the version in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
The roof design was the most hard, because he had to figure out how to make the blocky lego bricks look curved.
He also combined Lego technic pieces together with castle pieces in order to achieve the textured look and feel he desired.
The most hard part was the top roof piece. You can really tell that this was a labor of love. Zawada explains that Twilight Princess is his favourite game in the franchise, and so he wanted to recreate the iconic castle.
