LeSean McCoy to have MRI on injury suffered in practice yesterday

Both teams have been ravaged by injuries, the latest happening to Bills star running back LeSean McCoy, who hurt his left hamstring in practice on Tuesday as the teams concluded two days of workouts in Rochester, New York. “McCoy is scheduled to undergo an MRI”.

Adam Schefter of ESPN and Ian Rappaport of NFL Digital Media said NFL sources told them McCoy would be back in action for the Colts’ game. He walked back to the sideline holding the back of his leg and sat down to be treated by trainers, then needed help getting up before walking stiff-legged back to the locker room. The former Philadelphia Eagle was at the center of one of the bigger offseason trades, and given the quarterback concerns the organization has heading into the 2015 season, McCoy’s importance can not be overstated.

Maybe Dixon and the other backs who call the injury epidemic a curse are onto something.

– The Bills signed the little known Samuel “Ricky” Seale to the active roster early in the day on Tuesday, and he likely didn’t expect to get much time on the field during practice. The Bills signed Seale on Tuesday to replace Williams.

Without discussing the nature of the procedure, Ryan said Williams will miss about two weeks.

“I hope our new RBs are quick learners”, Ryan said. “Obviously Wilbert was his position coach for Ray’s first six years in the league”.

Veteran Fred Jackson has been out for almost all of training camp with a hamstring injury. Sammy Watkins had tightness in his gluteal muscle, Robert Woods also dealt with tightness, and Marcus Easley already had been out with an injury suffered against the Carolina Panthers last week. He was unable to bend his left leg. “But it’s reasonable for the Bills to worry when such a large part of their plan has a problem”, NBC Sports said.
