Judge: Some St. Louis seat-license holders have rights in LA
Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher gestures after the Rams defeated the Seattle Seahawks in an NFL football game at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, in Los Angeles.

St. Louis, MO (KTRS) A ruling from a district judge is impacting Rams fans who bought personal seat licences in St. Louis. The judge also said PSL owners who bought their license after the original sale, with different language in their contracts, may still have valid PSL’s with the right to buy season tickets to Rams games in Los Angeles. About 46,000 fans had PSLs, which give the holder the right to purchase season tickets, for the St. Louis Rams, some at a cost of up to $1,000. The Rams argued the PSL contracts were terminated when they moved to Los Angeles.
Limbaugh’s ruling differentiates between PSL contracts sold by the Rams directly, and those sold by their ticketing agent, FANS Inc.
The judge ruled that people who bought PSLs from FANS can not buy season tickets because the FANS contract clearly states that a Rams relocation would terminate the contract, thus rendering the “best efforts” language moot.
“In sum, the Rams Agreement requires the Rams to use Best Efforts to secure tickets for seats at games where the transferred home games are played”, the decision said.
Despite the Rams having already moved to Los Angeles – and having played in (and won) their first game back in the City of Angels – the city of St. Louis isn’t finished with them yet..

In the McAllister lawsuit, the judge pointed out that the FANS contract says the Rams have the right to terminate the PSL contract for any reason and refund “part or all” of the PSL holder’s deposit.
