AMD, Nvidia Update Drivers For ‘Forza Horizon 3’

Nvidia updated its GeForce Game Ready driver package to version 372.90, which adds graphics optimizations for Forza Horizon 3. AMD has answered back with their own driver updates in the form of the Radeon Software Crimson Edition 19.9.2 which are tailored for Forza Horizon 3. On top of that, as previously mentioned, this driver is optimised for Forza Horizon 3, which is coming out next week on PC.

Also, AMD has fixed several issues, according to their pleasantly verbose release notes.

Flickering display may be experienced on portrait Eyefinity display configurations when launching or exiting DirectX 12 applications.

Ashes of the Singularity™ may experience an application crash when Multi-GPU is enabled in DirectX®12.

The Radeon Technologies Group released Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.9.2 this afternoon.

Starting with bug fixes, the latest driver addresses RX 400 series issues, including intermittent mouse cursor corruption, occasional crashes during video playback in Mozilla Firefox, and flickering in Rocket league when running in CrossFire mode.

Those running Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on a Radeon 7000-series GPU should no longer experience artifacting in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.

HDMI® Audio may be lost after resuming from standby on Windows 10 Anniversary Edition. There are some more details on known issues over on the driver download page. This game is available today for buyers of the Ultimate Edition, otherwise it’s a wait until 27 September before you can start those engines.

Rise of the Tomb Raider may experience an application crash when changing the resolution from in-game menus when running DirectX®12. Overwatch may suffer flickering in CrossFire mode, Dreadnought may flicker in FreeSync, and Paragon may flicker when using both at once.
