Trump official in OH resigns after racial remarks

Original story here: Kathy Miller, the chair of Donald Trump’s campaign in Mahoning County, has some pretty incredible things to say about racism in America: namely, that it’s all Barack Obama’s fault.

Miller also wholly rejected the premise of systemic racism.

“Donald J.Trump has inspired, reinforced, and added fuel to these sorts of racist and divisive comments over the course of his life and his candidacy. You’v e had every opportunity, it was given to you”, she said. The Trump campaign has been attempting to woo disaffected Democrats in the county.

According to a 2013 census report, black voters voted at the highest rate of any race in the 2012 presidential election. During the campaign stop, former boxing promoter Don King managed to drop the N-word while introducing the business mogul.

“We have asked Tracey Winbush, who has been actively involved in our Mahoning County and statewide campaign, to take her place and serve as our new volunteer Mahoning County Trump Chair and to replace her as an elector to the Electoral College”.

“You’re living in your poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed – what the hell do you have to lose?”.

On Tuesday, Trump told supporters in North Carolina: “African American communities are absolutely in the worst shape they’ve ever been in before”. But let’s continue to insist that Trump’s support isn’t about racism, right? “Is he talking about worse than slavery?” “I think you have to”. “When you look at the last fifty years, where are we and why?”

“The idea of creating a national stop-and-frisk policy is the equivalent of advancing martial law and is beyond the constitutional power of the presidency”, said president Marc H. Morial of the National Urban League.

Mahoning County chair Kathy Miller told The Guardian that the challenges African Americans faced were their own fault. She said in a statement that she had made a decision to resign from both positions.

Miller also released a statement apologizing for her “inappropriate” comments and reiterating that she was not speaking on behalf of the campaign.

Trump’s OH state director, Bob Paduchik, said in a statement that county chairmen are “volunteers” and “not spokespeople for the campaign”.
