Chief Ron Haddad will be talking about the arrests of several men as it relates to an ongoing investigations his department has been heading up.

Police said the murders were part of a domestic violence-related incident.

Green’s stepchildren, Chadney Allen, 19, and Kara Allen, 17, were discovered by police in the basement of the home with multiple gunshot wounds. They did not explain how they died. The woman was transported to Oakwood Hospital in critical condition, Krause said.

Radtke and other neighbors said the family just had a birthday celebration last week for one of the youngest children, with balloons and ornaments decorating the house. Authorities say she was shot and cut but survived.

Police believe their father is responsible.

Their mother, identified as Faith Green, was shot and stabbed.

A man apparently asphyxiated his two young children using exhaust from a vehicle, fatally shot his wife’s two older children and shot and slashed his wife at a suburban Detroit home, police said.

Dearborn Heights police Lt. Michael Krause stated to media, “It’s tough to respond to something like this”. The Associated Press sent emails seeking information from local and state police, who were assisting on the scene. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Green with four counts of first-degree murder in their deaths and one count of torture and one count of unlawful imprisonment for allegedly tying his wife up in the basement, torturing her and shooting her two children in front of her. She was reportedly stabbed and shot. Their bodies were later moved inside the home.

A decorative banner that seemed to read “happy birthday” could be seen hanging near the side of the home.

“They were a quiet family, ” she said.

“We don’t have a lot of instances like this … it is a very tragic situation”, Dearborn Heights Mayor Dan Paletko told WXYZ of the small city in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Police have said he confessed to the killings during a 911 call.

“Its devastating for the community, ” he said.
