Lake Geneva tornado confirmed following Tuesday’s storms
The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado caused damage in the Lake Geneva area Tuesday night. NWS had issued a Tornado Watch earlier Tuesday afternoon for much of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Shane Hinrichs was nearby when the storm struck. One thunderstorm may have produced a tornado near Lake Geneva around 9:00 p.m. The National Weather Service radar indicated rotation. Deputies and firefighters checked the area and found damage to many buildings in a small industrial park.

In the Town of Lyons, Highway 120 was closed overnight between Highway 36 and Highway 12 due to storm damage. Police also took reports of damage to trees in Geneva Square and minor damage to the front doors of the Aurora Clinic at that location.

Downed trees and power lines were reported in Big Bend, Muskego, Vernon and Waukesha, and lightning is being blamed for a house fire in Stone Bank.
