“I am so glad that he liked Veep”, she said, her voice breaking down as she accepted the award. He dedicated the award to his daughter and late wife, who passed away unexpectedly this year.
John Oliver won variety talk category for “Last Week Tonight”, the first year the award was handed out in post-Stewart-and-Colbert era.

“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” beat “Fargo”, “The Night Manager”, “American Crime” and “Roots” for the Outstanding Limited Series award.
