Colin Kaepernick’s protest: Is the message lost in translation?

While he said he has not, he expects to see at least a few National Basketball Association players with their own protests.

Clearly, Kaepernick’s protest came during the dead of the National Basketball Association offseason, but given the recent history of protest by National Basketball Association players, Oladipo’s prediction doesn’t appear to be far-fetched.

In the above trailer, the cast is featured at a San Francisco 49ers game when it comes time to stand for the anthem.

As for Kaepernick, perhaps he’ll soon learn that when you lie down with dogs, you’re sure to rise with fleas. Durant stated, “I’m behind anyone who stands up for what they believe in”.

Oh, no, I just said ‘cops are pigs, ‘ who’s gonna help me get my stuff?

“A few people, just in general, I’ve had conversations with about that”. But I think definitely, we’ll see a few guys in the National Basketball Association doing the same thing.

In the past two years, so many people have taken to the internet to complain about disgruntled African-American citizens committing acts of violence and using destructive forms of protest to express their feelings on social injustice. “That’s how proud I was of them”, says Isham.

On Tuesday, Curry said during a Q&A session at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco that he’ll most likely stand for anthem this upcoming season, according to Mercury News. “Kaepernick shocked spectators by refusing to stand during the anthem, saying that he did not want to show respect to a nation that discriminated between its people of different races”.

Kaepernick, who chose to kneel in the in the 49ers’ final preseason game, and the 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. “The players were moved to the field during the National Anthem because it was seen as a marketing strategy to make the players look more patriotic”.

Oladipo told Complex Sports he thinks some players will protest similar to the way some National Football League players have in the preseason and first week of the regular season. Several players on the Miami Dolphins took a knee during the anthem before kickoff on September 11, and members of the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs raised fists while standing for the playing of the anthem last Sunday. A lot of people are watching at all times.
