Other devices allegedly planted by Rahami near an Elizabeth train station and in the New Jersey town of Seaside Park did not cause physical harm.

The development comes just hours after federal prosecutors charged Ahmad Khan Rahami , the main suspect in the New York-New Jersey weekend bombings, with using a weapon of mass destruction.
Even though Rahami remains unconscious, U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch said the Justice Department expects the 28-year-old bombing suspect to face federal terrorism charges in NY in the “near future”.
The indictment says a video recovered from the cell phone of a relative of Rahami, shows him lighting incendiary material in a cylindrical container two days before the bombings. They promptly turned the backpack into police.

Mohammad Rahami: He doing bad.
The official says the Federal Bureau of Investigation looked into the matter, but that Mohammad Rahami later retracted his comment and said he meant that his son was hanging out with the wrong crowd, including gangs.
Two officers were shot.
Both officers were treated and released from a hospital. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had a lawyer who could comment on the charges against him, which include federal terror crimes and state charges of attempting to murder police officers.
According to the court complaint, a handwritten journal by Rahami, 28, that championed jihad, included a passage that said: “You (USA Government) continue your (unintelligible) slaught (er)” against the mujahideen, or holy warriors, in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
The FBI issued a poster showing “two unidentified individuals” who investigators want to talk to.

Stanekzai said it was possible Rahami might have been influenced by “huge networks” of radicalization in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region, or online.

Reports also state that the journal had references to “Brother Osama Bin Laden”, to the Boston Marathon bombings and also the 2009 Fort Hood shooting in Texas. At this point federal agents say the suspect has not been co-operating with the investigation.
