Russia Dismisses Kerry Call to Ground Aircraft
The Syrian regime and Russian air forces have bombarded the city’s civilians in rebel-held areas. -Russian brokered cease-fire had failed, and United Nations officials reported many dead and seriously wounded. US officials believe Russian Federation was responsible for the convoy attack – which has been described as a possible war crime – but Russian Federation has denied any involvement.

It was not immediately clear who carried out the strike.
A “clearly marked” United Nations convoy was due to deliver aid on Thursday to besieged areas near the Syrian capital after a 48-hour suspension to review security guarantees following an attack on relief trucks near Aleppo, a United Nations spokesman said.
The Russian military spokesman said that the United States and its allies in the coalition were making the allegations against Moscow to distract attention from a deadly strike against Syrian regime forces over the weekend.
Gen Igor Konashenkov said a Predator strike drone appeared above the convoy several minutes before it caught fire, and left the area 30 minutes later.
The strikes have threatened to derail peace talks and came at the end of a one-week truce brokered by US and Russian Federation that was meant to help administer aid to besieged areas.
Mr Johnson met Mr Lavrov on Tuesday while the pair were in the U.S. for the United Nations General Assembly.
Global powers will discuss the deal on Thursday in NY.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his counterpart Sergey Lavrov exchanged blame in a public session on Syria at the U.N. Security Council.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the new ceasefire in Syria has been strictly adhered to only by the Syrian government forces.
On Wednesday, Syrian opposition activists said suspected government airstrikes in the northern city of Aleppo and the rebel-held Idlib province killed 23 civilians, including at least five children.
Syria’s Aleppo faced intense air strikes that killed a team of medics as the UN Security Council held talks on Wednesday to revive the failed ceasefire.
Russia’s Defense Ministry followed by saying the aid convoy was accompanied by militants in a pickup truck with a mortar, Kerry said, adding that no such evidence exists.
Coalition aircraft, believing they were targeting IS, killed 83 Syrian military members, wounded more than 100 others and allowed IS to temporarily take a military site, he said.
Russian Federation and the United States negotiated the latest ceasefire plan, but Syria ended the truce on Monday following an apparently accidental US-led coalition strike on Syrian soldiers. The two sides have also blamed each other since the attack.
