India Adopts a Restrained Response to the Kashmir Attack

She blamed Pakistan for a rebel attack Sunday that killed 18 Indian soldiers in Kashmir, the deadliest attack on a military base there for years.

The Pakistan Prime Minister also raked up the Kashmir issue in a major way and called for an global probe into alleged rights violations in the Kashmir Valley. “Nothing can deter us from supporting our Kashmiri brethren since it is Pakistan’s fundamental responsibility. India should and definitely will use them this time”, said Ajit Dubey, a defense correspondent at The Week magazine.

Only last week, the worldwide community honoured the memory of thousands of innocent victims from around the world, who lost their lives not far from here in NY fifteen years ago in a most horrifying terror attack.
