The NFL said in a statement there were no plans to reschedule Sunday’s Panthers-Vikings game.

Panthers president Danny Morrison said the club would continue to monitor security in the period leading up to the game.
When Minnesota Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and his teammates head to Charlotte for Sunday’s game with the Carolina Panthers, for most of the players, it’s just another day at the office against a daunting opponent that hasn’t lost at home in nearly two years.
The Carolina Panthers are set to face off against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 at Bank of America Stadium.
Editor’s Note: We were able to chat with Matthew Stevens of the Panthers Wire on Thursday to discuss Sunday’s Vikings vs. Panthers matchup.
If the game is moved, it is unknown exactly where it would end up.
Scott’s family said he was reading a book in the vehicle. Kerr Putney, chief of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, said Scott was brandishing a gun and threatening officers before he was shot. A source confirmed that the gun in the photo was the gun in question. The primary concern for Panthers officials is whether there will be enough police to handle the safety concerns of the city and keep the stadium secure.
The protests began in Charlotte after two violent shootings happened in the last week. And I think last night some agitators, some people who had their own agenda, their own narrative, took over and created a situation that wasn’t Charlotte. CBS News says it was told Charlotte police never fired a shot. Area businesses were vandalized with their windows smashed in.

The Panthers’ Bank of America Stadium is just a few blocks from the site of Wednesday night’s clashes between protesters and police that resulted in 44 arrests and 10 reported injuries. “I also wish for a full recovery for those who have been injured”. Some demonstrators were seen smashing vehicle windows and causing heavy damage to property.
