Rahami was being called a terrorist by his father, who eventually contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation after the dispute and expressed his concerns regarding his son.

Five pipe bombs found in Rahami’s hometown of Elizabeth, New Jersey and the second device safely defused in Chelsea, were covered in the suspect’s fingerprints, the indictment alleged.
“My family and I were deeply shocked and appalled at the recent incidents involving the explosions in NY and New Jersey and our thoughts and prayers are with all who were affected”. Investigators said they simply wanted to speak to the men, saying they were in no danger of being arrested.
Police previously said they believe that the two men were “just strolling up and down Seventh Avenue at the time” and did not appear to be related to the plot.
You’re on the go!
According to CNN, the 28-year-old, who lives in Elizabeth, New Jersey, with his family, was apparently making lengthy trips to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
NY police today said they are seeking two pedestrians filmed handling the unexploded pressure cooker bomb found late Saturday just blocks from where a bomb blast injured 29 people.
The man accused of setting off bombs in NY and New Jersey this past weekend has now been formally charged by federal authorities in a complaint that links the suspect’s motives to Islamic extremism. An explosion in Chelsea injured 31 people; no one was hurt in blasts in the other two areas.
Rahami was charged by federal prosecutors with four counts, including the use of weapons of mass destruction and bombing a public place.
Still, NYPD commissioner James O’Neill said today that authorities are still trying to determine if Rahami acted alone or he had accomplices.

Rahami was arrested after a dramatic shoot-out with police on Monday morning in Linden, New Jersey, about an hour from Manhattan. Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-NJ), who received a classified briefing from the FBI, told NBC that federal agents have attempted to question Rahami in the hospital but that he has not cooperated.
