Mary Berry quits ‘Great British Bake Off’ to stay at BBC
Paul, Mel and Sue have given me so much joy and laughter.

The TV cook has now released an additional statement to confirm that he was unaware of his colleague’s choice to leave the programme, and that he will “miss her”.
Charlotte Moore, the BBC’s director of content, praised Mary Berry’s decision, which comes after more than a week of speculation over what she would do.
“That will not change”. Knowing her as well as I do, I am sure she has made the right decision for her. “I am so very sad not to be a part of it”, she said.
“We are immensely grateful to her for all her work and for her recognition today that Love Productions had made a “unique and brilliant format from day one” with Bake Off”.
The final member of the show’s roster, Paul Hollywood, is expected to move with the production team when the show debuts on Channel 4 in 2018, The Guardian claims.
“I wish the programme, crew and future bakers every possible success and I am so very sad not to be a part of it”. “Farewell to soggy bottoms”. Her co-judge, bread expert Paul Hollywood, said he would stay.
The Great British Bake Off is, it is fair to say, known for occasionally containing the odd sexual innuendo, but back in 2013 there was quite a lot of buzz about Ruby and Paul. “We wish all the future bakers every success”.
“We want to reiterate to Bake Off fans that the show they love will remain wholly familiar, and that Channel 4 is a great place to make our show”, he said. “Bake Off will be produced by the same team, in the same tent, with the same recipe”, he said.

The BBC offered the company an estimated £15 million per year – double the current contract – in a bid to keep hold of the show, but producers refused to accept offers below £25 million. “Bake Off” is broadcast in dozens of countries and has spawned similar local shows in several countries.
