Civil services prelims exam results out
The candidates who have been declared successful have to first get themselves registered on the relevant page of the website before filling up the ONLINE DAF. The UPSC IAS prelim round was held on 7 August 2016.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to declare the results of Civil Services Examination 2016 (CSE 2016 prelims) preliminary exam very soon, perhaps in the last week of this month.
Our theory had suggested that UPSC will publish the results around 26th September but in a surprising move, the results were released today.
The DAF (CSM) will be available on the website of the Commission from 7th October, 2016 to 20th October, 2016 till 6.00 P.M. Almost 11.37 lakh candidates registered for the exams this year to fill 1,079 administrative posts.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has uploaded the results of the preliminary examinations.
Candidates who qualify in this preliminary examination will be allowed to write the second phase of the examination, which is the main.
The candidates may check the results by logging on to the official website, www.upsc.gov.in, as it has been declared. The answer key for UPSC IAS Prelims Exam 2016 more than half way will serve the objective and will soon be released. The most coveted of the UPSC examinations is the civil services exam held every year to recruit candidates for the post of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer.
The results of candidates with roll numbers 0634752, 0618691, 0980111, 0892863, 0147967, 0767132, 0891391, 0993625, 1075321, 0682468, 0719476 and 0612141 have been withheld as the issue regarding their candidature is subjudice.

The UPSC further said that the candidates who have cleared the civil services prelims exam will have to fill a detailed application form (DAF) so as to apply for further rounds of the recruitment drive.
