Avengers: Infinity War will reportedly follow Marvel Comics’ Infinity Gauntlet storyline
It also makes an bad lot of sense to make them one and the same, especially as Blanchett would be an unbelievable addition to Avengers: Infinity War and would help tie it further into Thor’s next adventure.

Following the super cool Superman Man of Steel 2 Brainiac rumors comes the following batch of rumors for The Avengers: Infinity War. The Magus, the purged, evil side of Adam Warlock believed to have been dead, has returned in order to collect the Infinity Gems and recreate the Infinity Gauntlet itself.
While the Marvel movies always take some licenses with the source material, the titles typically correspond to the arcs they’re based on. There are speculations that it is not just the Infinity Gauntlet that is involved in Thanos’ conquest, but he has another intention that involves a deadly entity. The report claims the story will mostly be lifted from the Infinity Gauntlet comic storyline, with Thanos (played by Josh Brolin) using the god-like powers of the gauntlet to impress the personification of death (played by a female actress, possibly filtered through Cate Blanchett’s Hela).
Starring the usual suspects; Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr as well as Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd and Brie Larson (as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel), Avengers: Infinity War is reportedly scheduled to begin production within the next few weeks. To fight a common demon and same the whole universe, all the superheroes might team up.
Death and Hela are two different characters in the comic books, but it’s entirely possible that Marvel Studios will merge them here to simplify things.
We’ve still got another several films to get through before we reach Avengers: Infinity War, so it’s not inconceivable that the franchise could find some way to skip past the Infinity Gauntlet storyline and go straight to the Infinity War one.
Vision will die early in Avengers: Infinity War and the Mind Stone will be taken.
