Clinton Recovers In National Polls, Declines At State Level

“Voters who say “I worry that I can’t relate to Hillary” will get an opportunity to see her. Voters who wonder if Donald Trump has the temperament or the knowledge to be president-they get to see that”, he said.

Wisconsin voters always like a good political fight, but this year they don’t have a ringside seat. Voters said Trump was better able to handle the economy. Non-white voters prefer Clinton 70 percent to 15 percent, with white voters going to Trump 51 percent to 32 percent.

Trump backers say the real estate mogul is prepared to stay steady no matter what Clinton throws at him. At a rally last week in Florida, Trump walked out to a song from the play Les Miserables.

During a May speech in North Dakota, Trump outlined his energy agenda, promising to scale back regulations, promote fossil-fuel production, and “cancel” the 2015 global climate-change accord. Only 24 percent consider him at least somewhat civil, while half consider him at least somewhat racist.

The poll shows Trump leading Clinton with 44 percent support among likely voters compared to her 39 percent. “But when he got on the debate stage something happened to him”.

On Tuesday, Trump tweeted, “Hillary Clinton is taking the day off again, she needs the rest”.

“For five years, Donald Trump gave a voice to the birther movement, giving voice to the right-wing fringe groups who want nothing more than to delegitimize America’s first African-American president. She came off as sour and defensive”, O’Donnell said.

“It just seems that there’s a lack of spirit between the white and the black”, Trump told Fox News.

What advice do you have for Clinton heading into Monday’s debate? “We have to stand up to this hate”. We have no idea who we’re letting in.

It’s a strategy lifted right out of the party’s 2012 playbook.

The comment helped Democrats paint the GOP nominee as a heartless plutocrat only concerned about protecting the wealthy, a message they’d been pushing for months through a barrage of battleground state ads.

Clinton is spending most of this week in debate preparations with a small circle of top aides at her home in NY. Trump and his supporters spent about $40 million in the same time period. She’s also challenged his business success and suggested he isn’t releasing his taxes to the public because he’s not as wealthy as he contends. If you are intelligent, intellectual, they will call you an intellectual Negro.

Trump and Clinton supporters express similar levels of frustration and differ little in their feelings of disgust or fear, the poll found.

Clinton aides said she is preparing for two scenarios: One in which Trump is measured and serious, and another in which he is freewheeling and makes inflammatory personal attacks.

Most American voters don’t see his backers as deplorable. Her campaign schedule has been purposefully light this week so she has time to prepare, according to Jennifer Palmieri, director of communications for the Clinton campaign. Opponents backed Cooper, 78-16 percent. The name-calling. The bullying.

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on September 20-21, 2016 by Rasmussen Reports.
