Kaepernick, who has refused to stand for the the United States national anthem during the season, was the clear victor in a recent poll conducted by E-Poll Marketing Research, SI.com reports. “It’s an issue that’s at the forefront of our country and it needs to be addressed, needs to be taken care of, because what’s going on is not right”.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color”, Kaepernick said when asked about his stance on August 26. “They’re being violated and that’s what I think Colin is standing up for”.

49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Miami Dolphins safety Michael Thomas stated recently they’ve gotten death threats due to their Anthem protest and according to a recent poll, almost half of National Football League fans would stop watching National Football League games because of these protests.

Kaepernick has since vowed to pledge $1 million to charities and organizations that further his cause.

Prior to the 49ers’ season opener on September 12, per The Associated Press, Kelly said they (as a team) “recognize and respect Kap’s decision, and his constitutional rights to do what he’s doing”.

“He’s at every meeting”. “When he’s asked a question, I think he should answer what his feelings are on those questions”.

“That’s a great thing about this country”, Kelly said. He’s focused. He’s dialed-in when we’re at practice.
