Apologise or you’re frozen out – Guardiola tells Toure
Guardiola saying to apologize to play is rich because he doesn’t want to play Toure regardless.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, he said that if Pep Guardiola wants a war, then he can have one.
Well, what do I need to apologise for? “Will he apologise to Joe Hart or Manuel Pellegrini?”. “Guardiola wins a few games and he thinks he is king”.
City have always been frustrated by Seluk’s frequent media outbursts. Of course Pep will make changes in the domestic cup competitions, but the players he will be bringing in will be world class worldwide players – that is the strength of the Manchester City squad.
Pep Guardiola told Yaya Toure he was joining a “s*** team” when he left Barcelona for Manchester City in 2010, according to the Ivorian’s agent.
But it is now clear Toure’s exclusion for the Premier League games since has not exclusively been for tactical reasons.
“It was hard to leave him out of the Champions League squad but [the] day after, his [agent] went to the media”. ‘I know him and I know he’s a good guy.
“But the day after his agent spoke”. At that moment Yaya was out.
When Toure was dropped from City’s Champions League squad, his agent, Dimitri Seluk, wasn’t too pleased about it and, to cut a long story short, said some things that Pep Guardiola didn’t like.
“I spoke out because I felt that Pep was being vindictive to Yaya”, added Seluk who apparently has a history of outrageous outbursts.
Guardiola has however offered a way back for the Ivory Coast midfielder, insisting that his agent apologises for statements he has made against him and the club.
“I would like to say solemnly that I am stopping”. They weren’t a big club.
Guardiola appears to be incredulous at the role of Seluk and does not seem willing to tolerate any interference.
“As a coach, I can not accept that when his player doesn’t play he goes to the media and speaks”.
“Maybe it’s the new era but I’m old generation, and an old generation agent has to concentrate on making his players his job and leave the coach to do his job. A lot of people in Africa say they will never see any more matches of City on TV”.
“When Yaya went to Man City, they could only dream about the Champions League”.

Asked if the 33-year-old could play in Wednesday’s EFL Cup tie at Swansea, Guardiola said: “He is not in the team”.
