It is the first update to the semi-autonomous software since a Tesla driver was killed while using Autopilot in May, The Verge said.

Tesla, the California-based electric auto company, has added a feature to the latest version of its cars’ operating software to help deal with at least some of these problems. Investigators are probing what role the self-driving system played in a pair of fatal crashes in Florida and China.
In addition to radar and cameras, the package also includes sensors around the vehicle.
The federal government on Tuesday released sweeping new guidelines for self-driving vehicles.
Critics say the merger is riddled with conflicts of interest, with Musk wielding outsize influence over the boards of both companies. Favorite new feature is the vehicles’ always-on temperature controls, which prevent cabins from overheating and injuring pets and people, he said. “With respect to acceleration, Tesla described the S P85D as having a 0-100 kph time of 3.3 seconds”, a spokesperson told AFP, “And Motor Trend and others actually achieved a time of 3.1 seconds”. Tesla reaffirms that the system constantly reminds the user to be prepared to take over at any time, further noting that the street sweeper was visible for 20 seconds before the collision. The company said in the statement that their realistic estimate was that the threat to their customers was less but they responded quickly to facilitate them. EPC chips are used in some lidar systems. Lidar images are clearer than radar in most circumstances and can be processed faster.
Kaspar Thommessen, an attorney at Wikborg Rein law firm representing the plaintiffs said that the vehicle has too low horsepower and it affects the car’s performance, according to the consumers.
“Tesla has been contacting Mr Gao for a talk over reconciliation conditions but has yet to put forward a concrete solution”, she said.
The temperature-control function will automatically keep the inside temperature below 105° Fahrenheit by automatically opening vents or turning on the air conditioner as needed. The executive wrote on Twitter that temperature control can run for up to a year if the battery is full, meaning it uses only a tiny amount of electricity.
