The alleged abuse is what prompted wife, Angelina Jolie Pitt, to file for divorce on September 15 after two years of marriage and more then a decade together.
However, a source with knowledge of the situation previously told PEOPLE that the child Department of Children and Family Services “investigation is absolutely ongoing”. The LAPD denied this, saying that they were not investigating any allegations against Pitt. However, the DCFS have strict confidentiality laws and are unable to confirm or deny anything regarding the investigation.
Now a source has told People magazine that there had been a row between the 52-year-old and Angelina on the private jet, with the family on board.
“He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children”, the source told TMZ.
“It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light”, the source added.
Several media outlets reported this week that Pitt had been verbally and physically abusive toward at least one of his six children during an angry outburst that contributed to Jolie’s decision to end their marriage. The actress cited irreconcilable differences in seeking a divorce. Speculation of drug and alcohol abuse and anger issues have all been swirling.
The two actors are among America’s biggest film stars.
