Federal Bureau of Investigation gathers information on Pitt flight allegations
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is considering whether to investigate an alleged incident involving actor Brad Pitt on a flight last week.

The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services is investigating a child abuse claim involving Brad Pitt, sources told ABC News.
Several media outlets, using anonymous sources, have reported that the actor is under investigation by a child welfare agency because of the incident.
The Los Angeles Police Department released a statement to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday in regard to reports that they were investigating Pitt.
Reports Wednesday suggested Pitt was also being investigated by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), as well as the Los Angeles Police Department, for child abuse.
Sources say the incident was anonymously reported to child protection authorities by either someone on board the plane or a member of the tarmac ground crew.
The DCFS investigation is still said to be ongoing, but an LAPD spokesman has made it clear detectives are not involved and do not have an open case on the actor.
Pitt was on a plane that landed at the International Falls, Minnesota, airport on September 14, local sheriff Perryn Hedlund said.
News of Pitt and Jolie’s split was announced Tuesday.
Jolie’s lawyer Robert Offer said the actress had filed for the dissolution of the marriage “for the health of the family”.
The former couple have six children together, including three biological children and three adopted.
“I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids”, Pitt said earlier this week.

The couple first met when they played married spies in the film Mr And Mrs Smith, when Pitt was still married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston.
