After a promising start to the league season when they notched three victories on the trot, United faltered in their first major test of the season at home against city rivals Manchester City succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.

He told MUTV, “We had a bad week”.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has hit out at “football Einsteins” who he claims have tried to dismiss his career triumphs during a hard week for the club.

Football is full of “Einsteins” who have tried to undermine Manchester United in the past week, according to Jose Mourinho.

“We have three home matches now in a row and it is always good to be at home”.

“We deserved to win clearly”, said Mourinho “[It was as] hard as I was expecting, but we were totally in control for the first 35 minutes and then we were again in control for the last 45.

“Two weeks ago we were very disappointed, because we lost in front of our fans against our city opponents”.

“They tried to delete an unbelievable history of Manchester United Football Club and to focus on a bad week with three bad results”.

The first League Cup clash was in 1969 at the semi-final stage, City winning the first leg 2-1 at Maine Road and the second leg at Old Trafford ended 2-2 as the Blues progressing to the final. In particular he was irate that referee Stuart Attwell hadn’t dismissed Jak McCourt for what Mourinho viewed as a wild challenge on Memphis Depay. “Finally I scored and I am happy, but overall after a awful week we got the victory and now we can face Leicester in a better way”.

“3-1, they’ve had to bring on their best players in the end to make it comfortable, so that is a positive”.

“So, hard match but overall a positive performance”.

“Some with an honest vision, some with a dishonest vision, but I should just wait a couple of minutes”.

“A couple of minutes ago I told about the red card because it’s a really risky situation”. Even in this kind of situation I should stop and leave it with you.
