Presidential Candidates Continue to Spar Over Police Shootings
The first debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton may be the most anticipated in American history, with a worldwide audience expected for Monday night’s faceoff to surpass 100 million viewers. But aides say he is studying written briefing material on domestic and global issues and is also talking through topics with advisers. Clinton has raised that habit as evidence that Trump is too thin-skinned to be trusted with nuclear weapons and other life-and-death decisions that cross a president’s desk.

Worth noting is that Trump has an edge among independent voters, often the key swing constituency, in all four of these states.
What’s more, 68 percent of Clinton voters respond that they will “definitely” vote for her, compared with 66 percent of Trump supporters who say that about the NY businessman. Half say he’s at least somewhat racist.
The Trump campaign also sent a letter to supporters Thursday asking them to take a preparation survey and answers a series of question before Monday night’s debate at Hofstra University. Shes also challenged his business success and suggested he isnt releasing his taxes to the public because hes not as wealthy as he contends.
And 50 percent of Clinton voters say their vote is more for Clinton, while 44 percent of them say their vote is more being against Trump.
Questions about Trump’s use of charitable donations to pay off personal legal debts have hounded him this week, but Collins dismissed them and tried to put the focus back on the Clinton Foundation, which has been a source of consternation across the aisle.
Rasmussen Reports found 44 percent of likely voters support Trump while 39 percent support Clinton, his biggest lead over the Democratic presidential nominee since mid-July.
A pivotal moment in the 2012 campaign came when CNN’s Candy Crowley, who was the moderator in one of the debates, contradicted Mitt Romney, the Republican nominee, when he asserted that President Barack Obama had not referred to what had happened in Benghazi, Libya, a few weeks earlier as terror attacks.
“I’m going to be very respectful of her”, he said. “And if she’s respectful of me, that’ll be nice”.
His Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, was behind closed doors as she prepared for their initial debate and did not address on Thursday the escalating racial tensions in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Where is Hillary today?”
