“We are not investigating any case, nor do we have any allegations against Mr. Pitt”, Sgt. Barry Montgomery told the Hollywood Reporter.

The LA County Department of Children and Family Services also denied that it had confirmed to any media outlets the allegations against Pitt.

Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services said it could not confirm or deny whether it was investigating Pitt.

The report said Pitt was “wasted” and went ballistic on the couple’s six children, shouting and hitting them – and that the behavior was documented in reports to authorities.

Now a source close to the actor is speaking out exclusively to PEOPLE about Pitt’s side of the story.

According to TMZ’s Gary Trock, the plane made a landing in Minnesota, and after landing, Pitt was reportedly ranting, got onto the tarmac and tried to get into a fuel truck.

The Hollywood gossip machine set its sights on the Northland on Thursday, amid reports that Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their kids stopped at the International Falls airport just a day before the couple separated.

A source told Mirror Celebs the FBI is investigating the claims as a jurisdictional issue due to the alleged incident taking place in the air.

“He was never physically abusive to her or the kids”, the source said.

“He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children”, the source told the magazine.

Jolie, 41 and Pitt, 52, married in 2014 after a decade together and have six children.

The actress cited irreconcilable differences in seeking a divorce. “He continues to ask the people around him to refrain from saying anything negative about the mother of his children”. Robert Offer, an attorney for the family, said Jolie’s decision was made “for the health of the family”, according to an Associated Press report. Their children are: 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
