Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan: There’s a lot I can improve
The 4-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth saw City stay top of the table after five wins out of five and ensured Guardiola retains his ideal start to life in English football.

Kevin De Bruyne has earned high praise from manager Pep Guardiola after leading Manchester City to an emphatic 4-0 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
No wonder De Bruyne was afforded a standing ovation by City fans when he was substituted late on.
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – SEPTEMBER 17: Raheem Sterling of Manchester City (L) celebrates scoring his sides third goal with Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City (R) during the Premier League match between Manchester City and AFC Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium on September 17, 2016 in Manchester, England.
‘He makes everything. Without the ball he’s the first fighter, and with the ball it’s clear he sees absolutely everything.
“I am happy. We have won five games in the Premier League”.
“My target today is now, to be happy today, drink a little bit of wine, and tomorrow prepare the game”, added Guardiola.
“I think he’s a special player – an outstanding player”, said Guardiola.
Gundogan was Guardiola’s first signing when he took over at City and he says his new boss has already made a huge impact on the squad.
The Belgian was involved in the hosts’ second goal 10 minutes later, moving Nolito’s pass on to Sterling, who unselfishly teed up Iheanacho – deputising for the suspended Sergio Aguero – to score.
“Of course the most important things in our game were much better than in the Sunderland game, but that is what we have to do”.

In what appears to be a thinly veiled attack on Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United side, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola stated after their game against Bournemouth, that the Cherries were the toughest side that the Citizens played against this season. Every time he decides the right decision and we are lucky to have him. From what I’ve seen so far we need to be very flexible because no one will stay for 30 minutes in the same role because we are changing all the time. Everything starts with that humble attitude. “People are so proud when these famous people are running so hard without the ball”. Seriously, you can use it with anything.
