GoPro unveils shapeshifting Karma drone

There’s a new linear view setting for both cameras too which gives you wide angle video and photos without the heavy distortion usually associated with extreme wide angle lenses. The GoPro Hero is priced at Rs.US$399.99 (AU$519.99). The company called the new direction an “end-to-end storytelling solution”, offering several new features and services for users. It will also incorporate voice control – which can be useful if you’re using your hands to hold on to ski poles, parachute straps or kayak oars.

The GoPro Karma comes with a clamshell-shaped controller that has a touchscreen display, two joysticks and a single button. It can be used up to 33 feet away from the action cam.

Now you can have your very own drone help you get the best shot on your camera. This is no bad thing, as the Session was already small and lightweight. Remo also enhanced the voice control of the Hero5 camera in windy and noisy environments. The Grip even has camera controls for easy usage.

Shares of GoPro (GPRO) were higher in mid-afternoon trading on Monday, after the company unveiled a new drone, new camera, and a new cloud service at a press event near Lake Tahoe, California. The software can produce smoother video capture than previous models.

In addition, Plus will grant access to a library full of stock music to accompany their radical vids and discounts on other GoPro products. In fact, one GoPro engineer promised it has “Hollywood stability anywhere you take it”.

GoPro Plus supports all camera models and will be rolling out internationally in early 2017.
