President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday assured Nigerian professionals overseas that the economic recession in the country would soon be history as his administration would address the relevant challenges diligently.

Falana said, “Finally, for the umpteenth time, I am compelled to advise President Buhari to stop appealing to the conscience of the leaders of western countries to repatriate the nation’s looted wealth”.
The meeting, which held on the sidelines of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly had in attendance Nigerian professionals who have distinguished themselves in their various careers across the U.S. “If they did, they would not shed innocent blood”, the president said. “We will continue to actively engage with the private sector at the highest levels to listen to your concerns and to assure you of our commitment to creating enabling policies in which your businesses can survive and thrive”, President Buhari said.
“When we do that, we will get the ministries to function and we will need quality people to come along and help it to move fast”, President Buhari told the gathering.
The National Security Adviser to the President, the Chief of Army Staff, the National Emergency Management Agency and the Presidential Committee on North East Intervention would also be actively involved in the new elevated response model approved by the President.
The statement said the President assured the professionals that “with all hands on deck, including the best brains in the Diaspora, the country would bounce back in the shortest possible time”.
Several lines were nearly identical to Obama’s in a speech Buhari made September 8 launching his campaign “Change Begins With Me”.
“Whatever stumbling blocks, we are looking into such stumbling blocks, but the passion is there”.
“We will invest in Nigeria, we believe in her”, the French President said. “It will also further consolidate existing ongoing consultations between the Presidency and the National Assembly on the way forward. We must never miss the opportunity the present travails offers us to launch Nigeria into its rightful destiny and place among the comity of prosperous nations”.
Nigeria, Africa’s largest country, has been plundered for several decades by corrupt government officials who prefer hiding stolen funds – billions of dollars – in foreign banks.
“Nigeria is convinced that the Right to Development is a shared responsibility considering the growing inequality and poverty resulting from climate change impact, natural disasters, violent extremism, social unrest and deprivation”.
