– Fill out an absentee ballot application in advance. Registration dates differ in each state, so check your applicable registration deadline well in advance.

If you are not registered to vote, have moved since registering last or changed your name, you’ll have to register before filling out the absentee application. The Middlesex County Board of Elections would like to encourage all residents who have not already done so to register to vote in the upcoming General Election.
In Maryland, early voting starts October 27.

The deadline for Texans to register to vote in the November 8 presidential election is October 11. The office is open from 8:30 a.m.to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The information is required for validation and to ensure accuracy and security, the governor’s office said. However, voter registrations are handled through local municipal clerks’ offices, and sending it to the wrong location could cause problems on Election Day.
“People need to vote because it is a right that we all have and its freedom that the Soldiers fight for”, said Krista Hammond, installation voting assistance officer.
For all other registered voters, election day is November 8, 2016.

The offices on this year’s ballot include: president and vice president; US representative (District 5); state senator; state representative; judicial offices; and Minneapolis Board of Education (districts 2, 4, 6 and at-large). For the first time in a presidential election, Minnesota voters who want to cast an early ballot don’t need to provide an excuse for why they can’t make it to the polls on Election Day. If a voter chooses to vote a straight-party ticket, that voting mark will cast a vote for all candidates in that party, except for the at-large county council race.
