Google’s OnHub router was met with decent reception (heh), but a new report by Android Police indicates the company is looking to announce a new router alongside its upcoming probably-called-Pixel phones on October 4.
Although it’s possible that Google could end up creating a brand new application to manage Google Wi-Fi, it’s thought that the existing OnHub app will simply be updated to include Google W-Fi features and management options and serve this objective, however there is still no confirmation on this and Google could decide to have a separate app.
Google plans to release its own, self-branded wireless router dubbed “Google Wifi” that will retail for $129, according to Android Police. But the one thing that will make it an insta-buy for many over OnHub?

Other specs of Google WiFi like bandwidth and upload/download speeds are now unknown, however we should learn soon if AP’s confidence rating is of any indication…
