Brad Pitt is reportedly under investigation for child abuse
TMZ, which is nearly always right with these things – especially items involving Los Angeles Police resources, has learned that Brad Pitt is being investigated by the LAPD and L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services for allegedly getting abusive with his kids following an incident on a private jet.

TMZ reports that Pitt is under investigation by the LAPD and LA County Dept of Children and Family Services for allegedly being verbally and physically abusive to his children. It was reported that the incident triggered the split.
The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services tells ET they are “never allowed to comment” on matters that involve minors. In a statement, the LAPD says it is “not handling any report or allegations into child abuse for Mr. Brad Pitt”. The couple married in August 2014, but had been together since early 2005 after Pitt’s separation and divorce from first wife Jennifer Aniston.
Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from Pitt on Monday and requested physical custody of the children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
A source close to Pitt tells PEOPLE that he is not taking the investigation lightly.
Us Weekly reveals that the L.A. police are not now investigating Pitt for any form of child abuse. She does not want Pitt to have joint physical custody, only joint legal custody – the difference being only one parent has both physical and legal custody of the child: in this case, Jolie.
Cotillard says she hopes Jolie and Pitt “will find peace in this very tumultuous moment”. “We have no criminal investigation that we are actively pursuing”, Sgt Barry Montgomery said.
Since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19, it’s become increasingly hard to separate fact from fiction regarding the power couple’s split.
‘I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time’.
“The final divorce decision was only made one week ago”.
Together they have six children who use the last name Jolie-Pitt. Pitt released the following statement to CNN following Jolie’s divorce filing.
