Investigations by the FBI and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services into allegations about Brad Pitt’s behavior with one of his children involve an altercation on a plane that officials still are trying to sort out, a law enforcement source said Friday.

Pitt was being investigated by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services – the Los Angeles Police Department has denied reports that it was also investigating the matter – after someone anonymously reported the actor from the tarmac from an airport in Minnesota.
According to the gossip site, sources described an incident on a private plane where Pitt was intoxicated and physically abusive. TMZ did not report on the specifics of the alleged abuse, but they did note that the incident took place just days before Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt.
It was this incident which prompted his wife Angelina Jolie to file for divorce, according to USA gossip site TMZ.
Two entertainment news outlets say Pitt is under investigation for child abuse. “We have no criminal investigation that we are actively pursuing”, Sgt Barry Montgomery said. “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light”.
Jolie is now seeking sole custody of their six children. The actress filed for divorce on Tuesday citing “irreconcilable differences”, and is reportedly requesting that a judge grant Pitt visitation rights as opposed to joint custody. “With all the kids, it did tend to get chaotic many times”.

Pitt and Jolie – who met in 2003 on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and began publicly dating a few years later – were last seen together with Vivienne and Knox in July when they celebrated the twins’ birthdays in Los Angeles, California. They married in 2014 after getting engaged in April 2012. She said in her Instagram post alongside a photo of bird soaring through the sky that he is “the only one that I need” and they are expecting another child.
